I got four games about love submitted to my contest:
"a very loose interpretation of the wikipedia article on greek words for love," a "roll vs. GM's target" system.
"Beneath the Honeysuckle," a surprisingly gay Arthurian romance game from the specific scene structure attribute manipulation school of Bliss Stage and My Life With Master.
"Romantic Comedy" a game in the style of Archipelagio.
"A Breath of the Heart" in jeepform style.

I will be posting my readings and reactions about the games over the next week.

One day, I will have enough time to finish a game in a week, but not this month. The things I've started working on have not been abandoned, though, and I'll slip you a copy when I get it done.

I don't really expect a reading and reaction to mine, because I recognize that's a bit like asking someone to critique the doodle you just drew on the restaurant napkin or something. Especially when I realized after waking up "Hey, I didn't name that thing, did I?".

I do like the spur-of-the-moment idea that you're always rolling against one of your own attributes, though. It's probably been done before, but I'll have to consider it for a slightly more well-fleshed design (a metaphorical doodle on actual paper or something. I've come to realize it's about all I'm good for when it comes to game design.)

Hey, you submitted something, which means you get a response. The response may well end up being longer than the game itself.

"A Very Loose Interpretation of the Wikipedia Article on Greek Words for Love" is a pretty long title, but intriguing. Roll vs. Agape!

Review is up (along with the game text) if you want to take a look and offer your own opinion.
