Types of Indie Gamers

I think maybe that there are three types of indie gamers. There's burning wheel people, sorcerer people, and riddle of steel people.

Sometimes I feel like the last living riddle of steel guy.

Speaking of which, I want to play it again. A big 20-session campaign. I'll run.

Really? Cause I really love Riddle of Steel.

I'd be interested in hearing what you think are the fundamental divides between the three at some point.

I am not an indie gamer, but I love Riddle of Steel. Especially when combined with Ars Magica.

I've never played Sorcerer, but I love the other two, as you know.

What about PTA people? (What I'm really asking is, like yeloson, what do you mean?)

I want to play your 20-session TRoS game. I don't care how the logistics work. I want to play.

Matt

I've never played any of those. The first published indie RPG I ever played is 1001 Nights. Am I not an indie gamer? Am I some sort of weird next-gen system?

I like all of those games. Where do I fall?

Any comment I post will be about trying to be a special snow flake.

I hope you get your chance to play Your Game!

Hmm. I guess I mostly conflated Riddle of Steel people with Burning Wheel people, except for Burning Wheel is much more appealing to people who like shiny new supplement things, and Riddle of Steel is much more appealing to people who like things which aren't in print because the creator is in Iraq.

I miss it when more of the shiny-new people I knew were into TROS, because it generally worked great, except when someone tried to used some of the thornier supplement material.

I think there are two kinds of people: people who divide people into three groups of people, and people who don't.
