One of the sucky things about not having eaten for three days is it's really hard to start again. My stomach revolts at most Chinese food as just too greasy. I even had trouble with steam buns this morning, which is not a good sign. Further, the act of eating at all is slightly repulsive to me at this point. Nothing has flavor.

I did get down a third of a plate of meat-strip chaomian and a bowl of broth tonight. Probably not the best idea. We'll see how I manage it.

Or try jook (rice soup). It's heavy, but definitely not greasy.

It's called zhou in Mandarin (jo) and I can't find it anywhere in Nanjing! I think I need to get out of the tourist districts or something.
