Bad News
So I had a long post planned about all manner of things, but I am totally blown out of the water and damned if I can remember it.
So here is the story.
My mother recently had a large uteran cyst removed, along with most of her uterus. The operation was very successful, and she is recovering very well. However, I just heard that, in examining the cyst, they found out that it was cancerous.
The good news is that it didn't spread anywhere nearby. The bad news is that it could have spread any number of other places through her bloodstream. We won't know anything for a couple of weeks. The knock-on-wood hope is that it either didn't spread anywhere.
If you feel the urge, please do contact me. I don't have very many close friends out here in Ithaca, and I could really stand to hear from some friendly folks. E-mail is best.
