As for Philip K. Dick, the one you've got there is my personal favorite (and I've read scads of his stuff). Big recommendations are "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" and "The Man in the High Castle", they're his best-known for a reason. If you like mostly-philosophical strangeness, "VALIS" is also a deeply fascinating read, but a frighteningly dense read: I recall reading many parts like a textbook, rereading and making sure I'd digested each paragraph before continuing.

And I agree with Sue's recommendation- it's a very excellent handling of some of the standard fantasy tropes; the first half of the first book is kinda annoying, but I don't think I've read anything as engrossing in the years since.
