The Hall of Eyes

I have this metaphor, about eyes seeing eyes and... well, that doesn't interest you.

But there is a "meme."

1. I will tell you what song reminds me of you.
2. I will tell you what celebrity/public/fictional person you remind me of, either personality-wise or looks-wise.
3. I will give you one word that I associate with you when I think of you.
4. I will tell you what colors I associate with you.

I will note that, since I don't have a huge amount of musical knowledge, you may end up with some other type of artwork, most likely a book or a poem. Similarly, you may end up with an RPG character for number two. If this bothers you, that isn't my problem.

And for yet another person, I ask if you know me well enough to do this. No offense if the answer is no.

[identity profile] benlehman.livejournal.com 2004-12-24 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I can give it a shot, man, but I really only met you a couple of times. (One of these is going to be associated with your dad, who I had too many classes with... Sorry if this offends.)

1. Introduction to Probability (book)
2. Josh Conterio, who is not a celebrity, but should be
3. Wall
4. Grey, of course

I should really make you reply to mine, first...

1. "All Wrong," Morphine
2. Ella
3. Ice
4. Red

That was harder than expected.

Don't take #1 as an insult

1. That Flame of Recca opening song
2. That destined farmboy guy. Who shows up all the time. Y'know. That one.
3. Ninja
4. Yellow

Enter the tailor shop of ice and stone!(no one will get that reference...)

Be well.

[identity profile] benlehman.livejournal.com 2004-12-24 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I do! I do!

1. Nine Prince in Amber
2. Bleys, from said book
3. Confidence
4. A sort of dark brown, the color of dark leather or burnished wood

[identity profile] benlehman.livejournal.com 2004-12-24 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Kiseki no Umi, Lodoss OST
2. I'm going to cheat and change the subject here, because you have always really reminded me of a Garter Snake, and I finally have a chance to mention it.
3. Lace
4. Golden light. (Black would be easy, but less accurate.)

You lost your letters. I think I found them. Here: avi

1. I don't know. Something cool and indy, probably, as far as a song goes. If I were forced to pick something that I actually have heard of ever, it would probably be from the Utena soundtrack.

2. Duke of Ashes.

3. Styling

4. Steel Blue.

This is dangerously cyclical --

1. Final Fantasy X
2. Ishtar, as she appears in the Epic of Gilgamesh.
3. 忙
4. Red and earth-brown. Shockingly, not orange.

I have to smack you for that.

1. How Many Roads Must a..., Bob Dylan
2. Hari Seldon, from Foundation
3. Nervous
4. Slatish blue. Sort of like the color of these livejournal comments, but a little more gray.

1. Good god. Most of October Project. Perhaps "Sunday Morning Yellow Sky" specifically.
2. Thecla from "Shadow of the Torturer."
3. Darkey Purple.
4. Long.

Re: meme

[identity profile] benlehman.livejournal.com 2004-12-27 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
1. "Thus sprak Zarathustra," or however it is spelt.
2. Sticking to types here, you'd be one of those "political-type" aliens that they always have in SF shows.
3. Actually.
4. Yellow.

[identity profile] aumshantih.livejournal.com 2004-12-25 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
meme me baby. Memetically.

[identity profile] benlehman.livejournal.com 2004-12-27 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
1. That "Viva, viva la revolucion" song.
2. Tezcatlipoca.
3. Totally awesome. 'cause you say it so much. And you are.
4. Red.

[identity profile] greywords.livejournal.com 2004-12-25 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
G'day, mate. May I join in?

[identity profile] benlehman.livejournal.com 2004-12-27 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
1. Mac OS X. Not surprising, really.
2. Your problem is that you are too well adjusted to make a good literary character. I can say that you have always reminded me of a dog more than a wolf, and I mean that in a the best of all possible ways.
3. Opening.
4. You get white.

1. Why, "Secret Agent Man," of course. But you have to share it with Ethan.
2. You always struck me as the "quiet girl who gets drawn into a fantasy world and has a magical-yet-morally-instructive adventure.
3. Shhh...
4. Dark gray.

[identity profile] benlehman.livejournal.com 2004-12-27 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm... I don't feel that I know you very well, but I'll give it a shot.

1. 'My Omlette'
2. I hate to say it, but that kender. You know.
3. Wail. As in "to wail on a guitar."
4. Probably light yellow. From your hair color.

[identity profile] benlehman.livejournal.com 2004-12-27 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
1. The "Quigley Down Under" theme that Ethan used in Vidi Aquam, I think.
2. This is a tricky one. You remind me almost exactly of a character from my fantasy world, but that would clearly be cheating. So I need to think of someone who reminds me of her. Maybe Nausicaa, from the movie more than the books.
3. Fresh
4. Bright Green

Seeing as we've never met...

I have to see how this turns out.

1. "Indier Than Thou," by MC Frontalot. To be fair, I think of this as the Forge themesong, but you in particular.
2. Again, I have this trouble that you remind me of a character that I wrote so much that I can't think of anyone else. Perhaps Indy Rock Pete, 'cause you used to use him as your RPGnet icon.
3. Shadow
4. The deep-red color of the Forge titles.

[identity profile] xiombarg.livejournal.com 2004-12-27 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Ewige blumenkraft.

[identity profile] benlehman.livejournal.com 2004-12-27 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
1. "The Hammer Falls," Plague of Hammers.
2. Invoking types again, I think you're the big, friendly guy who knows how to enjoy himself and is sort of a mentor to the main character. At least in thec context of fantasy books.
3. Tdeen
4. The exact blue of the lj comment bars.
