You know you've run too many Aztec-themed LARPs when "quetzlcoatl" is easy to spell.

P.S. How many is too many? Hmm...

I always phrased this as "you know you've run too many Aztec-themed LARPS when you have pet names for the Aztec gods".

Between Quetzl, Tezcat, Xipe, and Tlazl I think I can safely say that this makes One, one too many. :)

You forget Huitzil. Or, as his friends call him, Pochtli.

I think that, of these, Tezcat is the best. Because it implies that he is a type of cat. Which he is.

Ah, false cognates.

True, but Quetzl sounds a bit like Pretzel, which while not apropriate is at least funny.

Hey, _I_ use "Tezcat" and "Xipe," and I've never even participated in an Aztec-themed _anything_. I prefer the cute and diminuative form "Huitzi" (often rhymes with "tweetsy") for everybody's favorite heart-eating god of war, though. Tlaloc gets the shaft, since he already has a short name. "Hey, Tlal? Get over here and bleed some rain!"

I'm fairly sure that I've seen email addresses from tezcat .com and .net , unfortunately.

Of the lot, I like ninshubar.net best. I've got a big weakness for Near Eastern stuff.
