Yes, in China

For whatever reason, the local internet cafe has finally decided to let me use livejournal. This is some sort of strange miracle, so I've decided to make the best of it.

As to why I'm using this for QuestionMeme and not a reasonable update... well... see #1.

These questions from Izzy.

1. (This is huge and obvious.) How's China?

I will shortly be posting a whole shitload of journal entries at leibingxian
That is going to be my "how's China" journal. This one is reserved for quizzes as well as abstract thought.

2. If you could have any one game that you ran at Brown to run again, which would it be?

In the sense of "oh, my god, I got *that* wrong:" The Children's Tale had too many things go wrong with it to even try repeating it. Probably The Land of 1000 Kings.

In the sense of "ooh, my god, I'd love doing *that* again:" Marvel, aka Beatdown Bridage.

3. What one thing about your writing really makes you happy and proud--what makes you read your stuff over and go "hey, I can do this"?

This is two questions, and thus it has two answers.
The first is the sense of bulk that writing builds up over time -- I'm at around 80 pages right now, and it feels like, hey, I really have a story going on. When I look at that, I am filled with a sense of pride.

The second is when I write a truly correct sentence -- one where the words bounce off of each other and resonate and just sort of *sing* The sort of sentence that makes you want to cry when you need to cut it.

4. Speaking of writing, what will make you put a book down faster than anything else?

Hmm... I don't tend to put down books quickly, but an ignorance about sources, especially those drawn from mythology and religion, really ticks me off in a lot of authors that I read.

5. Do you miss American food? If so, what?

Not yet.
er...
Okay, I miss salad...

"You know all the rules by now, and the fire from the ice."

I am happy to entertain questions from anyone who reads this journal, but I do not have the time to post requests in everyone's page. Sorry...

(P.S. to those curious -- Intrapersonal 12.)

And boy, do I wish you would/could run Thousand Kings again. ::sigh::
