Could any medically or biologically inclined people give a decent reference for symptoms of people with severe damage to assorted internal organs (a non-functional liver, say, or perhaps no spleen)? I don't need vastly in-depth knowledge, just symptoms for a scene I'm writing featuring lots of very unhealthy people in need of new organs.

Thanks.

"Argh! My SPLEEEN!"

Fry, Futurama.

I know a busted liver gives you jaundice (yellowing of the skin).

Renal (kidney) failure is pretty nasty, too:

So, really, I did have something. Oh, well. In any case, organ failure is rarely sexy. Lots of internal bleeding and seizures, I'm afraid.
