For people local to us:

1) Food. Right now, Alexis can only get down things which are easy on her stomach, but bringing food (particularly stuff that refrigerates well) will spare me from doing an astonishing amount of cooking.

2) Company. Alexis can basically take care of herself, but it's possible she'll need someone to help her get around, etc. Thus, if I'm going to be out of the house for an extended period of time, it's a good idea for someone to be with her just in case she needs some help with getting something or getting somewhere. Also, of course, she'd love to see friends.

3) Distractions. Lying in bed all day can be boring. We'd love to have books (young adult fantasy is her specific request: nothing too mentally strenuous, since she's zonked out on opiates), movies, comics, or anything like that. We can return any of this stuff after it's used.
