Polaris Play

The shortest full-group game of Polaris I've played is three sessions. The longest is five sessions.

Do games of Thou Art But A Warrior count? The special Discord track seems to definitely speed things up. In our one-shot at Gamestorm08, we got to 15/20 Discord in about 3.5 hours. Of course, we were pushing to see how far we could get in a short time, so the results may vary from "natural" play.

Eight sessions, but we did play slightly wrong. (We accidentally exhausted individual items under themes rather than the themes themselves, giving us more exhausts.)

When I played with relevance plus two (awesome) guys you don't know, it took us three sessions, IIRC.

FWIW, I personally can't imagine playing that long. I love the game, you know that, but I just think it would get dull after 5 at the most. Or, to put it another way, I feel like I would be bored playing with a group that wasn't acquiring enough experience to all die/become demons by around the middle or end of session 3.

When you people say "3 sessions", or "5 sessions", or "8 sessions"... How long is a "session", approximately?
