Good Tea

To seattlities: There's a new bubble tea place in Capitol Hill (at least, it looks new) called Shinka Tea. It's got excellent bubble teas and pastries and such, a nice atmosphere, free internet (natch), and so on. I'm also often the only person in the store. So consider this a recommendation. It's on the corner of Harvard and Olive way.

I recommend the black milk tea w/ tapioca.

If you like maccha (Ben doesn't), the maccha drinks are good, too.

Good maccha tastes unpleasantly of fish.

I love Shinka! The one in Capitol Hill is new (at least, to me), but the one in the University District was one of the first cool hang-out spots that David, Jesse, and I discovered when we first moved here. In the non-tea category, the Cocoa Diablo is also awesome.

it's new to everyone-- I think the website said it opened this summer.

In Chinatown, Oasis on King St. has the best boba. On the other hand, it's kinda hole-in-the-wall-ey in terms of hang out spot. But, you can get tart green mango drinks in the summer!

Ooh, yum. The biggest advantage of the new Shinka is that it's two blocks away, but I'm hoping we can go down to Chinatown this weekend and get kitchen stuff, and then we can also get boba.

Yeah, the big advantage of shinka is two blocks away, nice atmosphere, free wifi. Oh, and mango pudding.

But we'll get the good stuff, too.
