I'm going to start posting about what I do each day, like a real diary, so as to get a handle on what I actually do during the day.
Today I:
Ate breakfast early with Alexis, settled in early at Diesel.
Wrote some e-mails I needed to write, including scheduling some important conversations.
Vastly improved my working layout file for The Drifter's Escape, with the help of Jake, Jonathan, and Joshua <- This is my big accomplishment for the day
Got distracted by arguments on Story Games. <- This was my big time waste of the day.
Planned the weekend.
Helped Alexis handle her insurance stuff.
Things I did not do, that I might have:
Bliss Stage writing
Prepping the last of the Drifter's Escape text
Contacting Rob about my stuff in Shanghai
Tomorrow I would like to: Spend less time getting distracted by Story Games.
On the whole: C
My observation of the day:
A good trick to arguing on the internet is to never explain what you're actually talking about, except in general terms or, better yet, "some people" terms. As long as no one understand what you're on about, they can't say you're wrong.
Corollary: Anyone asking for your help in understanding what you're saying is clearly attacking you, because the only possible reason they could have for wanting to understand your point is to prove you wrong.

Does it have those vomiting rules we talked about?

It totally does have rules for not making your buddy sit in the other room for 45 minutes, though.

Did I waste time posting on Knife Fight today? Oh yeah, baby, but I couldn't have written 3,000 words about Ars Magica and D&D. Now if I can just finish grading my students' games I'll be done with my goals for today ....

Are you going to tell me about your 1000 kings play sometime?

Getting a sense of your capacities, by the way, is definitely smart. I'm very curious to see what you do all day, for that matter!
