I'm starting a new project: Sonnet a day. Sonnet a day is that I write a sonnet, every day, on topics that are of interest to my readers. I do requests!
The first is on jam.
from out of earth such fruit delights shall spring
the beasts that walk shall eat them and their worms
And birds shall feast upon them when on wing
but wily man has culinary forms
though eaten fresh each fruit gives some delight
and in a pie or torte there is some fun
even the humble slump has wrongs and rights
but each of these shall sweet jam overcome
Oh apricot, oh berries: black and rasp
What wonders does your love with pectin bring?
For though such sweets surely enlarge my ass
I will eat jam; jam's praises I will sing!
with peanuts or with toast the taste's in tune
though I prefer it eaten with a spoon.

MADE OF PURE AWESOME.
I will restrain the urge to ask you to do one on some kind of chemical, and instead ask you to do one on really warm, squishy, fuzzy socks. And nor'easters.

If I don't understand the concept, it's probably right out, which includes most complicated chemicals that don't have common names.
Right now I've got on the docket:
Mud
Warm, fuzzy socks
Nor'easters
I can see that the rate I get requests is going to outpace the rate I write sonnets very, very rapidly.

Of course now the first thing my brain is doing is coming up with animated explanations that will, I am absolutely sure, give you all the information and enthusiasm you need to dash off several sonnets.

Happy to have you as a guest sonneteer, though.

Eddie Izzard, however, loves it.
