Cave Story

Recommended to me by Adam, Cave Story (aka Doukutsu Monogatari) is the greatest NES game ever made*. Except it isn't an NES game. It's playable on your computer. Right now. For free.

Seriously.

* Possible exceptions include Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Final Fantasy III. But I'd put "Cave Story" up with them.

Wow . . . that's a really engaging game! Is it really NES? The animation seems a little too smooth. I love the pixelated style, either way. Thanks!

Well, thanks to all the weird symbols on my screen when I play, I get the "cave" aspect, but the "story" totally escapes me :)
