Considering

I'm thinking about getting a tattoo... Probably wouldn't be until I got back to the states, because I trust Chinese tattoo parlors not at all.

What I'm thinking of getting is one of the little star-flakes from Polaris on a shoulder, or possibly the figure from the front cover of the book. The idea would be to get something small for each game I complete, as I complete them.

Thoughts?

Now, there are lots of Chinese guys with tatoos. I'm sure not *all* of them contracted AIDS.

I like the star-flake idea better than an actual figure, but I'm overall more for symbols.

I've always wanted to have two griffins on my back; a live, dignified one, and a robotic one. It would be my version of the yin-yang, with one side being alive, the other non-living, one side emotional, the other cold, one side violent, the other peaceful, etc.

I see a column of small symbols going down your arm (well, an arm) and it looks pretty cool. No particular reason for you not to do this.

Do it on your fists, like "LOVE" on one, and "HATE" on the other, except we'll a Polaris stat, Weariness. So "WEAR" on the left and "INES" on the right and...

You should get on your chest/stomach "2TAC THUGG LIFE" letter style:
"NARR LIFE"

I too have considered getting a tattoo, but most public bathhouses in Japan will not allow people in with noticable tattoos, so I'd have to be clever and come up with something that's:

1) Small
2) Could be even unreasonably explained away as a birthmark (ie a large moon and half moon side by side could be done, but not a dragon coiling around Emmanuel Kant).
