So I spent the last two days in Shanghai hanging out with Erick Wujcik and chatting about games. A very interesting experience.

I asked about the possibilities of video game design jobs, and he said he'd put me in touch with some Chinese companies. So that's a possibility.

It's interesting to get a whole new perspective on things at a moment when I'm feeling semi-alienated from my present design community. (Don't make a huge deal of this -- it's pretty much just a cyclical thing.)

Fortunately for you, they would likely be in Chinese.

Did [livejournal.com profile] denyse ever tell you her Mythic China story? Erick's a sweetie and all, but a Chinese-English English-Chinese dictionary is not the best way to come up with names. :)

Word. Erick is awesome. Some of his game work on China (Mystic China, Rifts China 1 & 2), not so much.

Oh, tell him I said hi, will ya? I haven't heard from him in a long time, and if I go out to Shanghai to visit my brother, it'd be great to see him.
