My brother gave me the Drifter's Escape soundtrack for Christmas.

Ramblin' Man (Hank Williams)
Trouble Everywhere I Go (Fred McDowell)
Lonesome Fugitive (Merle Haggard)
One More Dollar (Gillian Welch)
Better Know What You're Runnin From (Gillian Welch)
Almost Cut My Hair (Crosby, Stills, and Nash)
The Littlest Birds (Be Good Tanyas)
Say No To The Devil (Gary Davis)
Mama Tried (Merle Haggard)
Sunday Morning Coming Down (Johnny Cash)
The New Timer (Bruce Springsteen)
Lost Highway (Hank Williams)
Hell Hound (Robert Johnson)
Ain't Got No Home (Shiftless Rounders)
The Drifter's Escape (Bob Dylan)

He also included two discs of "Outtakes" that I won't bother to list, but have some great stuff. With a few possible edits and additions, I will be able to present the definitive game soundtrack.

Before the game is finished. :-P

"Better know what you're running from" is actually by James Williamson

Other songs that really should have been on there include- "waiting around to die" by Gus Van Zant and an actually Woody Guthrie song instead of a cover (i. e. "ain't got no home.") "This land is your land" is his classic, but for my money, "Jesus Christ" is his thesis.

"Highway Childe" by Jimi Hendrix has a different sound, but it it includes the line:
"You'd probably call him a tramp
but it goes a little deeper than that."

Several people just played Polaris in my proximity and it seems like an AWESOME game, I really really want to play it now.

So it's good you're making another.

Hah!

Drifter's Escape is really close to some things close to your heart (wobblies and worker's struggles) and I really want to play it with you when it's done.
