Project GIPF is now complete. It's a highly ambitious set of 6 interconnected abstract board games. While I can't speak for the connections, I can say that the individual games are excellent, most especially ZERTZ, which I played the pants off of a few years ago.

Worth checking out!

I just got PUNCT, the last one, a few days ago, and it's as excellent as the others. My personal favorite is YINSH, but ZERTZ comes in at a close second.

The "interconnectedness" is rather overstated, I think. Though I like the way they all share certain subtle design philosophies in common.

I haven't actually played any YINSH. ZERTZ is fabulous, though, and better on the BIG BOARD.

The problem with the interconnections is that they are via GIPF which, while a decent game, is certainly the weakest of the set. :-(
