Reading

I'm reading Don Quixote. It's very good, but very different than expected.

It's great to know that, almost 500 years before the genre started, there was a man even more disgusted by fat fantasy than I am.

In addition to being a hilarious and well-crafted piece of fiction, it also spawned a quite enjoyable musical: Man of La Mancha by Mitch Leigh, Joe Darion, and Dale Wasserman. I recommend it!

Rock on.

My aunt wrote several books on Don Quixote. But I can't find them on Amazon. Mainly because they're not in English, although I could swear she's written articles in English.

But yeah, it's also an example of metafiction in places, long before we started using the word meta.
