My Birthday

It's my birthday.

I'm in Kashgar. I got a little sunburnt yesterday so I'm having an inside day: I'll go out once the sun goes down.

I have moved to a clean hotel with airconditioning and an online hook-up, for $3 more a night.

My friend Erick died

My friend Erick died the other day.

Even though most of the interaction I had with him was with him in his role as a genius game designer, I don't feel like I should talk about that. Because it pales in comparison to the the rest of him.

Erick was among the best human beings I have ever met.

In China, a place we both loved, I am thinking about him today and all days.
