There's been some really good RPG theory posting over at Evil Brain Jono! recently (also, there's a webcomic.) The stuff that he's posted so far is called "Three Paradoxes of Role-playing" and consist of a very concise analysis of the contradictions and problems in playing traditional RPGs for "story" without additional rules.
Introduction
Paradox 1
Paradox 2
Paradox 3 The section under "but it's worse that that!" blew my mind.
Conclusion
No one come in to tell him the great news about the Forge or Story Games or whatever, please. He reads them. Also, I'd really love for him to be able to get through his GNS explanation without 8 million people telling him why GNS is stupid badwrongtheory.
