Having spent all today holed up in a Chinese netbar, let me list the qualities:
1) Twenty-somethings chatting with their friends on QQ, an ICQ-based avatar chat that accounts for all of the social interaction of Chinese under 30.
2) Empty cigarette packs scattered everywhere.
3) Coke in a bottle for a kuai.
4) Posters with sexy people advertising MMORPGs. the one in front of me is called "tantra" and god the art is gorgeous.
5) People watching DVDs.
6) Delivery food menus on the walls. Mostly fried rice places. At least one for each station.
7) Me, feeling out of sorts.
