1. What is the first RPG you ever played?
Basic D&D with my brother and mother. In the red box. I was a halfling named No-Name.
2. What RPG do you currently play most often?
I have one Arcana Unearthed d20 game and one Polaris game online. Also, pick-ups.
3. What is the best system you've played?
Best at doing what? I have too much love for systems to pick just one. Riddle of Steel is a perennial favorite. I also like Primetime Adventures and Dogs in the Vinyard, but we will see if the thrill from those lasts.
4. What is the best system you've run?
See above.
5. Would you consider yourself an: Elitist/ Min-Maxer/ Rules Lawyer?
Yes. And proud.
6. If you could recommend a new RPG which would you recommend? Why?
Primetime Adventures. Because screen presence will blow your mind.
(This is provided that recommending Polaris is cheating.)
7. How often do you play?
Polaris is about twice every three weeks, Sea of Stars varies, Tyrants of Zisa (Arcana Unearthed) is once every two weeks. Roughly speaking twice a week.
8. What sort of characters do you play? Leader? Follower? Comic Relief? Roll-Player/ Role-Player?
I try to vary things. I've been drawn to being scholarly types with drives to lead recently. Generally, I just try to do something new with each character.
9. What is your favorite Genre for RPGs?
Fantasy, as long as it isn't D&D fantasy. But that category is so broad as to be meaningless.
10. What Genres have you played in?
Bad Fantasy, Fantasy, Hard Science Fiction, Cyberpunk, Historical (various periods), Modern Supernatural, Superheroes, Allegorical, Teenage Romantic Comedy, Slapstick, Soft Science Fiction, Space Opera, Game Show, Modern Right Here Right Now, Surrealistic, Horror (any of the above), Trans-dimensional moralistic epic, ghost story, and more. You name it, pretty much.
11. Do you prefer to play or GM? Do you do both?
I hate them both equally. I hate being a player because I don't ever feel like I have enough credibility. I hate being a GM because I have to do so much prep and take so much responsibility. Hence, the Polaris system.
12. Do you like religion in your games?
I don't understand this question, but I believe that my answer is probably yes.
13. Do you have taboo subjects in your games or is everything "fair game"?
No, but I try to respect people's boundaries. I may very well have personal boundaries, but I haven't found them yet. Mostly, I just play with people I trust.
14. Have you developed your own RPG before?
Starting at age 10 I have continuously had at least one or two RPGs in development.
15. Have you ever been published in the Gaming Industry? If so...what?
I hope to never be published in the Gaming Industry, although I already have published a game and hope to do so again.
