Frustration

So I just got back from the visa office. My extension is going to take until monday, no expediting possible.

Well, fuck! I could have gone to Hong Kong, picked up my computer, and gotten my visa handled faster than these bozos can manage. I only wish that they'd told me (or I had thought to ask) before they had my passport sealed and filed away.

So, stuck in Shanghai for five more days while the rest of my life waits for me elsewhere. Just frustrating as all hell.

Can I actually have them mail it to me? How on earth do I even set that up?

This is made worse by the fact that:
1) I have no mailing address in China
2) Staying somewhere new requires a passport

You just call them and tell them to EMS it to a new address...
